Itinerary

Day 1
Previus: Purchase Permits. Review, rent or buy equipment. Starting: Travel from Hotel in Mendoza to the entrance of Aconcagua Provincial Park (Laguna Horcones). Hike to Confluencia. Altitude: 3.300/10.827
Day 2
Previus: Purchase Permits. Review, rent or buy equipment. Starting: Travel from Hotel in Mendoza to the entrance of Aconcagua Provincial Park (Laguna Horcones). Hike to Confluencia. Altitude: 3.300/10.827
Day 3
Hike from Confluencia to Plaza Francia, base camp for the South Face of Aconcagua. Altitude:4.200/13.944
Day 4
Hike from Confluencia to Horcones. Travel to Hotel in Mendoza. Altitude: 700 / 2.297
Note: This itinerary is intended to be a guideline only, acclimatization, weather days and rest days are always a possibility while on a Trekking.

Included

  • Transportation in private vehicles from Mendoza to Horcones and back.
  • Help in obtaining the necessary trekking permits.
  • Lunch in Valle Uspallata (in route to Horcones)
  • Food and drinks in Confluencia, two (2) nights in total; including Geodesic Domes with real beds, carpeted floors, heating system, hot shower, and a toilet seat bathroom. Our camps also have solar energy system, Radio communications, and our meals are prepared following strict standards of hygiene and contain high nutritional value. They assure the right amount of carbohydrates and protein, everything the body needs to perform at high altitude, yet easy to digest. We also cater to vegetarians upon request.
  • Trekking guide and assistants (depending on the size of the group). Our Trekking ratio: 1 guide = 6 pax.
  • Radio for permanent communication between base camp, Mendoza and Puente del Inca to be able to co-ordinate different logistical issues, reservations and, when necessary, rescues or evacuations.

You are responsible for

  • Airfare and airport taxes to and from Mendoza. Bus tickets to and from Mendoza.
  • Trekking permits.
  • Hotel in Mendoza.
  • Food and drink not mentioned in Itinerary
  • Personal porters and individual gear.
  • Extra costs as a result of abandoning the trek.
  • Medical or traveler’s insurance. Costs as a result of an emergency rescue.
  • Personal expenses (drinks, laundry, mail, telephone calls and other items not mentioned above)
  • All other services not listed as Included.
